R&D Lab Project – Lactalis Ingleside

We our so proud to show all of you the Two-story Research and Development lab CMG Innovation has been working on over at Lactalis in Ingleside.

The project began on August 14th, 2023. Since then we’ve had the pleasure of working with members from David Brown construction, who have completed the full excavation and backfilling within the first week. Lots of traffic during this time, we pulled out our Traffic Control Persons, to guide the trucks and stop traffic as needed. It is always a pleasure working with DBC, our special thanks for doing a great job on the project.

Clermont Rosa Formwork has worked diligently on the form work for the footings and foundation wall, excellent job, we thank you for the hard work you put in.

D&M Masonry are working on installing the block walls. Finishing the North, West and East side walls, now currently building the block up to the second story roofline of the lab. As well as the cell walls for the staircase. D&M Masonry are erecting and moving scaffold, Cutting block, Mixing the mortar, pumping the mortar into the block, and smoothing and sealing the joints, all while working together with great communication and spirit. Thank you for your continued hard work.

In the year 2024, we have a lot of hands on deck, with Dean leading the team, we have a lab! Just before the winter holiday the lab had been completely sealed and insulated. Inside the final sheets of drywall are being installed after the pass from the electrical inspection. In construction you never know what your day could end up looking like, with this project we’ve been very fortunate with the progress. There are always hurdles such as materials not coming in on time, we had many sicknesses throughout the winter months,  to weather with freezing rain. CMG is proud of our team for the persistence and due diligence they have shown throughout this project.  Next on the agenda will be the install of the fire line, Link and HVAC system install, and some changes from the client to be implemented, the project is proceeding beautifully, Stay tuned for more updates!
